Lifetime continues to ramp up its development for 2011, giving a pilot order to a drama about the femme head of the psychiatric department at a university hospital.
Project hails from scribe Michael Sardo, who exec produces along with Gerard Bocaccio for Universal Cable Prods. Story revolves around a woman who moves to Philadelphia to work as chief of staff in the psychiatry department alongside her sister and a diverse staff.
In recent months Lifetime has greenlighted four other drama pilots under the direction of new prexy and g.m. Nancy Dubuc. Sardo’s TV credits include laffers “Wings” and “Caroline in the City” and USA Network’s upcoming drama “Fairly Legal.”
