Kim Young-bin to direct Pucheon

Helmer to direct Pucheon Fantastic Film Fest in Asia

South KOREA–Helmer Kim Young-bin has been appointed director of the Pucheon Fantastic Film Festival, the largest such fest in Asia. He replaces Han Sang-joon, whose term expired on Dec. 3.

Kim began his career in the Korean film industry in 1986, as an assistant director for Im Kwon-taek. He made his feature debut with “Kim’s War” in 1992. The 14th Pucheon fest runs July 15-25.
