Kevin Beggs returns as nonprofit's prexy

The fall network entertainment toppers sesh is back on for the Hollywood Radio & Television Society.

The HRTS gabfest tradition was scrapped in 2008 after a dispute over which exec would represent the Peacock, which lacked an exec with the formal title of entertainment prexy at the time. After two years off, the lunch will be held next month (date TBD).

HRTS on Monday also announced that Lionsgate TV prexy Kevin Beggs has been re-elected to a second term as HRTS prexy. New to the HRTS board this year are attorney Leigh Brecheen, BBC senior veep Ian Moffit and newly appointed Showtime entertainment prexy David Nevins.

The HRTS season kicks off today with a Q&A with News Corp.’s Chase Carey at the Beverly Hilton.
