Paul Hewitt has been named senior VP of network communications at the CW.
Hewitt, who’s been with the netlet since its 2006 launch, replaces Paul McGuire, who has moved over to Warner Bros. corporate communications.
He’ll report to CW entertainment prexy Dawn Ostroff, who announced the promotion Friday.
“Paul is a skilled strategist with exceptional media contacts and an implicit understanding of the CW’s young demographic and how to reach it across all platforms,” Ostroff said.
Hewitt will oversee the CW’s communications strategies and media relations, and work closely with publicity senior VP Pamela Morrison and photo publicity senior VP Bonnie Moffet.
Hewitt joined the C-Dub from UPN, where he was VP of communications from 2003 to 2006. He also spent several years at Fox.
