Hamburg to develop show at Fox TV

'I Love You, Man' writer/director gets blind script deal

Twentieth Century Fox TV loves writer/director John Hamburg, man.

Hamburg, the writer/director of last year’s Paul Rudd/Jason Segel feature comedy “I Love You, Man,” has been given a blind script commitment by 20th.

Under the arrangement, Hamburg will now develop a project for the studio with an eye toward this development season.

Hamburg’s past TV credits include creating and exec producing CBS’ short-lived Jeffrey Tambor comedy “Welcome to the Captain.” He also directed episodes of Fox’s “Undeclared” and Comedy Central’s “Stella.”

In film, Hamburg wrote “Meet the Parents,” “Zoolander,” “Meet the Fockers” and “Along Came Polly,” the latter of which he also directed.
