Waterman and Oh rise to VP as Sleven is named director

Fox is embracing its current programming team, handing out promotions to several department staffers.

The network has handed out vice president stripes to Shana Waterman and James Oh, while David Sleven has been named director inside the department.

Promotions were announced Tuesday by Fox Entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly and current programming exec VP Marcy Ross.

As part of their new positions, Oh and Waterman will oversee the production of Fox’s new and returning series, as well as serve as the network’s “primary creative advisers” on those series.

Reilly credited Fox’s current programming team for helping Fox land its first-ever Q4 ratings victory.

Oh and Waterman previously served as director of current programming. Oh has worked on series such as “Human Target,” “24,” “The Simpsons” and “Bones,” while Waterman has handled shows including “Glee,” “House” and “Fringe.”

A Fox employee since 1998, Oh previously worked in the net’s research department. Before joining Fox in 2006, Waterman worked at Timberman/Beverly Prods.
