Fox axes ‘Sons of Tucson’

Comedy will be replaced by 'American Dad'

Fox’s live-action half-hour skeins are getting the boot.

Network confirmed Monday morning that its low-rated freshman laffer “Sons of Tucson” has been yanked off the sked.

“Tucson” will now be burned off this summer, starting June 6, in the deadsville Sunday 7:30 p.m. slot. Animated laffer “American Dad” returns to the Sunday 9:30 slot that has been home to “Tucson” for the past few weeks as of April 11.

Also, as previously reported, “‘Til Death” is done after this season. Fox said the series’ finale will take place Sunday, June 20.
