Fledgling Hub kids network sets skein

'Hubworld' is slated to rollout Oct. 10

Kids network the Hub has added “Hubworld,” a weekly, half-hour series, to its slated Oct. 10 rollout.

Produced by Hasbro Studios, “Hubworld” will broadcast highlights of Hub animated and live-action series with selections of entertainment, music and sports.

“It speaks to the pop culture that (kids) enjoy and also is an exploration of all the things that (they) are interested in,” said Hub president and CEO Margaret Loesch.

Justin Willman of “Cupcake Wars” will host the series, exec produced by Kathy Samuels.

Hub original series include “Dan Vs.,” “Family Game Night,” “G.I. Joe Renegades,” “My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic,” “Pictureka!” “Pound Puppies,” “R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour,” “The Adventures of Chuck and Friends,” “Clue” and “Transformers Prime.” The Hub, a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, will be available to 60 million U.S. cable and satellite households.
