Don McGill inks two-year deal at CBS

'Numbers' exec producer joins 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'

“Numbers” exec producer Don McGill has sealed a big two-year deal at CBS TV Studios, where he’ll join the Eye’s hit “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”

At “CSI” McGill will serve as exec producer and essentially operate as the show’s second-in-command under showrunner Carol Mendelsohn.

McGill’s hire also fills the void left by the recent exit of exec producer Naren Shankar, who’s no longer with the show.

The two-year, seven-figure pact includes a development component.

McGill was most recently the exec producer of “Numbers” — and his move to “CSI” is a further sign that “Numbers” won’t be continuing next year.

McGill’s credits include a lengthy tenure on “JAG.” That’s what led to his involvement in creating the spinoff “NCIS,” along with “JAG” creator Donald Bellisario.
