CBS writer and editor Kathleen Juan dies

Known as 'grammar guru' as exec editor of communications

CBS writer and editor Kathleen Juan died April 8 in Chatham, Mass., following an illness. She was 70.

Juan began as a society editor for a newspaper in Mt. Vernon before her 35-year tenure at CBS. Known as the Eye’s “grammar guru,” Juan was exec editor of communications. She was responsible for stories in the Sunday paper TV supplements. She interviewed many CBS stars including Helen Hayes, Henry Fonda and the cast of “MASH.”

Survivors include a brother.
