New co. will focus on media and tech deals and ventures
Former CBS Interactive prexy Quincy Smith has formally hung out his new investment bank shingle, Code Advisors.
Company will focus on deals and ventures that involve media and technology. Its clients to date include CBS, Comcast and digital music venture Spotify. Code Advisors is based in San Francisco, with an office in Gotham.
“The fact that we have been able to sign stellar clients so quickly is a testament to the market opportunity already,” Smith said.
Smith’s partners in the venture are Fred Davis, a prominent lawyer in the new media and music worlds and a founder of law firm Davis Shapiro Lewit & Hayes, and Mike Marquez, a Silicon Valley vet who worked with Smith in business development at CBS Interactive.
