WBTV casts ICM’s Burke in new role

He'll oversee casting for WBTV and Warner Horizon TV

Warner Bros. TV has tapped ICM talent rep Tom Burke as senior veep and head of casting.

He’ll oversee all casting for WBTV and its Warner Horizon TV. Burke will report to WBTV prexy Peter Roth, who cited the tenpercenter’s “taste in marrying the right talent with the right material” in announcing the appointment.

Burke, who worked as a creative exec at Fox and Columbia Pictures TV before joining ICM, succeeds Mary Buck, who has headed WBTV casting since 2002. Buck is retiring after a 40-year career in the casting biz. Roth praised Buck’s long list of accomplishments and her role in assembling “some of the most memorable on-screen casts in TV.”
