Exec to look at the future of TV production
LONDON — Ben Silverman is to deliver a keynote speech at Mip-TV sales mart, which bows April 12 in Cannes.
Silverman, who quit as NBC Entertainment/Universal Media Studios co-chair last summer following two tumultuous years and now runs multimedia company Electus in partnership with Barry Diller’s interactive firm IAC, will speak on the future of television production.
Laurine Garaude, director of Reed MIDEM’s television division, said: “Ben Silverman is one of the most innovative and forward-thinking leaders in the entertainment industry, and is known for his unique ability to find creative links between content production, advertising and marketing.
“We look forward to his insight into monetizing content in today’s marketing and advertising climate.”
