Endemol nabs second-season pickup of docusoap
Endemol USA has scored a second-season pickup for the Style Network docusoap “Jerseylicious.”Series, part of TV’s newfound reality obsession with the Garden State, has landed a 10-episode order for the one-hour reality comedy. “Jerseylicious,” which takes place in a New Jersey salon, has scored Style’s best-ever ratings among women 18-34 and 18-49 for a freshman show. Alex Duda exec produces “Jerseylicious” for Endemol, led by Endemol North America chairman David Goldberg. Sarah Weidman and Merah Chung exec produce for Style. Show reps a boost for Endemol’s growing cable business. Goldberg cited the show’s “truly unique cast of outspoken and vibrant characters,” as well as Duda and the Endemol team in securing the renewal. Goldberg also gave credit to what he called the “collaborative and insightful” execs at Style.
