CBS rounds out midseason sked

'Miami,' 'Rules,' 'Purpose' among lineup

CBS has rounded out its midseason sked, finding a Friday home for its new Jerry Bruckheimer medical drama “Miami Medical.”

Eye will also make a comedy shift in March, as the return of “Rules of Engagement” bumps “Accidentally on Purpose” to Wednesdays.

Net will preem “Miami Medical” on Fridays at 10 p.m. starting April 2. Show replaces “Numbers,” which will have completed its season — and remains on the bubble to continue beyond that.

Meanwhile, “Rules” returns to CBS on Mondays at 8:30 p.m. starting with its fourth season premiere on March 1.

To make room for “Rules,” the Jenna Elfman comedy “Accidentally on Purpose” slides to Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., behind “The New Adventures of Old Christine.” That’s the slot currently occupied by “Gary Unmarried,” which will have also completed its season run.

“Miami Medical” centers on the team behind a trauma facility. Bruckheimer, Jeffrey Lieber, Jonathan Littman and Steve Maeda exec produce; Warner Bros. TV, where Bruckheimer TV is based, is the studio.

Jeremy Northam, Lana Parrilla, Mike Vogel, Elisabeth Harnois and Omar Gooding star. Show will face off against “20/20” and “The Jay Leno Show,” making it the only scripted series in the hour (as “Numbers” had been).
