Nomination reaction: Bryan Cranston

Best actor, Drama, TV - 'Breaking Bad'

“Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston should be used to nominations-morning drill by now — but he isn’t.

“I got that ominous phone call at five-something in the morning,” said Cranston. “I’ve been very fortunate to get that phone call often throughout my career and it never fails to scare me momentarily. You think no one ever calls at that hour unless it’s bad news. I know that in the future when I get a phone call to tell me someone’s died, I’m going to answer it like, ‘Really? I was nominated?’ And then it’ll have a very dark turn.”
