A round of layoffs claimed several veteran execs at Warner Bros. Records on Friday, less than two months after the installation of a top management tier at the Burbank-based label.Among those let go at Warner Music Group’s flagship imprint were senior VP of digital music Jack Isquith; senior VPs of A&R Perry Watts-Russell and Kevin Williamson; senior VP of marketing Rob Gordon; and senior VP of promotion Tom Biery, according to a knowledgeable source. Also exiting were promotions VP Franco Iemmello, VP of urban A&R Naim Ali, VP of video promotion Wendy Griffith and marketing VP Andrea Kinloch. At least 13 staffers were cut loose. In September, longtime WBR chairman-CEO Tom Whalley exited the company, and Rob Cavallo, previously Warner Music Group chief creative officer, was installed as chairman. At the same time, Todd Moscowitz and Livia Tortella were elevated to co-presidents (Daily Variety, Sept. 15).
