Expanding one of their longtime execs’ international roles, Rhino Entertainment has promoted David Dorn to senior VP of global sales and digital strategy, U.S. repertoire, at the Warner Music Group catalog division.
Dorn will oversee Rhino’s physical and digital sales and develop the global digital sales and promotion strategy for the firm’s U.S. catalog. He will also work with Warner Music International affiliates on domestic catalog repertoire planning and sales for their digital business and aid in coordination of domestic Warner Music catalogs around the world.
He continues to report to Rhino president Scott Pascucci.
John Reid, Warner Music Europe chief operating officer and WMI vice-chairman, said in a statement, “David’s commercial acumen and passionate belief in our roster made him a great asset to our international catalog efforts.”
A 17-year Rhino vet, Dorn was most recently senior VP, e-commerce and international. Over the years he has taken multiple roles in the company’s media relations, promotion and new media departments. He is the son of the late producer and label executive Joel Dorn.
