Singer inks three-year run at Caesars Palace

Celine Dion is returning to Las Vegas.

After playing at Caeasars Palace from 2003-07, the Canadian-born singer will return to the hotel for a three-year run set to begin March 15, 2011.

Dion, a two-time Oscar winner and five-time Grammy winner, returns to the desert after a yearlong worldwide tour that concluded in February 2009 in which she played 25 countries. She’s been off the road since then and will come back to Caesars Palace following a three-and-a-half year hiatus since her last show at the iconic Strip landmark.

Singer, who opened the 4,300-seat Colosseum at Caesars Palace, is one of many to perform there. Cher regularly plays the venue and both Mariah Carey and Jerry Seinfeld have dates set in the near future.

Show will consist of Dion performing Hollywood classics accompanied by a visual presentation. Tickets for the first 54 shows go on sale Friday.
