BMI does coffee with top screen composers

Coffee BMI will present its seventh annual “Coffee Talk” during the L.A. Film Festival with a trio of top film composers: BT, Moby and Gustavo Santaolalla. The chat, moderated by the performance rights org’s vp of film and TV relations Doreen Ringer Ross, is set for 3 p.m. on June 26 at the Regal Cinemas complex in L.A. Live.

The event promises a one-hour ramble through the film music business. The panelists couldn’t be better. Santaolalla has won Oscars for his work on “Brokeback Mountain” and “Babel.” BT’s credits range from “The Fast and the Furious” to “Monster.” And Moby’s electronica has seen ubiquitous use in film, TV and commercials in recent years.
