Blige, Bocelli help Haiti with ‘Bridge’

Duo to sing Simon & Garfunkel song at Grammys

In a special segment that will raise funds for Haiti relief, Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli will perform Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” at Sunday’s 52nd annual Grammy Awards.

The performance by nine-time Grammy winner and ’10 nominee Blige and tenor Bocelli will be made available as a download by iTunes and Target following the Grammy telecast. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, benefiting the Haiti earthquake aid effort.

Simon & Garfunkel’s 40-year-old anthem of hope earned Grammys as record of the year, album of the year and song of the year.

The Grammycast airs on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT from L.A.’s Staples Center.
