Beyond the Top 10: June 23 edition

Anthem Slang Spoken Here:
The Springsteen-lovin’ Jersey band Gaslight Anthem’s third album “American Slang” is the top debut outside the top 10. The SideOneDummy release enters at No. 16 with a 27,000-unit debut week.

Familiar Faces:
A couple of well-traveled acts log their first new albums in ages on the chart this week. DEVO’s “Something For Everybody,” the Ohio-bred band’s return to Warner Bros., enters at No. 30 with 14,000 sold; their last studio set was released in 1990. The Steve Miller Band’s “Bingo!” climbs aboard at No. 37 with a 12,000-unit debut week; the collection of R&B and blues covers is Miller’s first non-compilation/non-concert set to reach the top 200 since 1993.
