Just What the Doctor Ordered: Bret Michaels’ album “Custom Built” is the top debut outside the top 10 this week, entering at No. 14 with 22,000 sold. Set’s strong bow obviously has much to do with morbid interest in the Poison front man and reality TV star’s wretched health of late. Michaels’ has never fared well as a solo act: His last set, 2008’s “Rock My World,” peaked at No. 40.
iTunes Express: Brandon Boyd’s “Wild Trapeze” enters the chart at No. 33 with 11,000 sold. The number in itself is hardly exceptional, but the Incubus front man’s package makes its debut with no physical copies in stores — the set is an iTunes digital exclusive. Epic releases a hard copy of the set next Tuesday.
