Exec will serve as label's director of film and TV licensing

Angie Ruiz has joined indie Razor & Tie Records as director of film and TV licensing.

Ruiz, who is based in L.A., was previously creative manager of special markets at Peermusic Film & TV Licensing. She will be responsible for placing New York-based Razor & Tie’s acts in TV, film, trailers and video games.

Active for five years in synch licensing, Ruiz has placed tracks on “Entourage” and “Days of Our Lives” and with video game firms like Activision, EA Sports and Rockstar Games.

New York-based Razor & Tie is home of the Kidz Bop franchise; its acts include Richard Ashcroft, Semi Precious Weapons, Joan Baez, Michael McDonald and Brian McKnight.
