Bob Dylan to perform at White House

Singer taking part in Black History Month celebrations

Bob Dylan — who sang on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial the day of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963 — will perform at the White House on Feb. 10 as part of Black History Month celebrations.

He’ll be joined by Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Natalie Cole, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Seal, The Blind Boys of Alabama and The Howard U Choir for an evening of songs from the civil rights movement.

Special airs Feb. 11 on PBS.
