‘Yank’ extends run

Off Broadway musical meets demand of tickets

Off Broadway tuner “Yank!” has extended its run by two weeks in a move producers attribute to high demand for tickets.

Musical, about two WWII soldiers who fall in love, is a production from nonprofit York Theater Company, but a team of commercial co-producers is attached to the show in the hopes it will prove popular enough to warrant a transfer.

Penned by David Zellnik and Joe Zellnik and directed by Igor Goldin, “Yank!” now runs through April 4.
