Two world preems on Naked Angels slate

Company announces lineup for 25th anniversary season

Naked Angels, the Off Broadway troupe whose play “Next Fall” hit Broadway last season, has lined up three shows as part of its 2011 season.

Bekah Brunstetter’s commission for Naked Angels, “A Long and Happy Life,” will get a summer run June 14-July 24 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, where “Next Fall” bowed. Story follows a woman whose life is disrupted by a freak accident.

In the fall, Zayd Dohrn’s “Outside People,” another world preem, gets a run at the Sharp. Culture-shock tale centers on an American man who falls in love with a Chinese girl.

Also on the slate is the grab-bag topical evening “Naked Footprints: An Issues Project,” centered on the idea of sustainability. “Footprints” runs March 24-April 2 at Comix.

Troupe also will continue producing its array of play development programs.
