Trio honored with League awards

Kudos given out at spring road conference

Nina Lannan, Susan Weaving and Mike Isaacson are among the legiters to take home 2010 League Awards from the Broadway League’s recent spring road conference.

Rialto general manager and former chair of the League Lannan picked up the distinguished lifetime service kudo, while Isaacson of St. Louis’ Fox Theatricals was given a laurel in presenter management. WME veep of theatrical touring Weaving won a new road-centric award named after the late producer George MacPherson.

The road marketing honor went to Eileen LaCario, veep of Broadway in Chicago, while Don and Mary Doctor, Charles L. Gummer and Rich Willis (not the Richard Willis who is a “Next Fall” producer) were given Star of Touring Broadway awards for their arts support in North Carolina, Dallas and Des Moines, respectively.

Steve Winton, prexy of Broadway Across America, won a special star award.

League’s membership includes producers and presenters in 240 North American cities.
