Brian Hutchison and Michael Mulheren have been tapped to appear alongside Valerie Harper in “Looped,” the Broadway comedy about Tallulah Bankhead that opens at the Lyceum in the spring.
Hutchison (“Exit the King”) plays the film editor who must re-record Bankhead speaking a line of dialogue for her final film, “Die, Die, My Darling,” a task that turns into a eight-hour marathon with the difficult, drunk star (Harper).
Mulheren (“Kiss Me, Kate”) portrays the techie at the sound studio where the recording session takes place. Plot of the play by Matthew Lombardo (“Tea at Five”) is based on a true story.
Rob Ruggiero directs “Looped,” beginning perfs Feb. 19 ahead of a March 14 opening.
