Seinfeld-helmed ‘Story’ sets B’way date

Colin Quinn solo show set for Hayes Theater

The next gig on tap for Jerry Seinfeld: Broadway director.

Long Story Short,” the Colin Quinn solo show that was helmed by Seinfeld in a successful Off Broadway limited engagement earlier this year, is making the move to the Main Stem. It will play an 11-week run at the Helen Hayes Theater beginning in October.

Quinn’s previous Broadway outing, “Colin Quinn — An Irish Wake,” played the Hayes in 1998.

“Long Story Short,” which traces the history of the world in 75 minutes, won strong reviews in its summertime opening at the Bleecker Street Theater, where the show closed Sept. 4.

Eva Price and Richard Martini are producing the Broadway incarnation, which kicks off with previews Oct. 22 for a Nov. 9 opening.

Productions will run through Broadway’s high-traffic holiday weeks and shutter Jan. 8.
