Schall, Strong star in ‘Coward’

LCT3 play opens in November

Kristen Schaal (“Toy Story 3”), Christopher Evan Welch (“Rubicon”) and Jeremy Strong are among the thesps signed up for “The Coward,” the latest production from Lincoln Center Theater’s LCT3.

Set in England in the 18th century, “Coward” centers on a man (Strong) who hires a criminal to fight in his place in a pistol duel. Sam Gold (“Circle Mirror Transformation”) helms the new play by Nick Jones (“Jollyship the Whiz-Bang”).

Jarlath Conroy (“The Weir”) and Richard Poe also are among the eight-person cast. Production begins previews Nov. 8 ahead of a Nov. 22 opening at the Duke on 42nd Street.

LCT3 is the banner under which Lincoln Center Theater presents smaller-scale productions of works by emerging creatives.
