Producer Daryl Roth (“Love, Loss and What I Wore,” “Irena’s Vow,” “Wit”) will receive the lifetime achievement trophy from Off Broadway’s Lucille Lortel Awards.
Kudo goes to an industry pro dedicated to Off Broadway. Roth — whose Broadway credits include “Proof,” “Caroline, or Change,” “Curtains” and “The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?” — has been producing Off Broadway since 1988 and operates two Off Broadway spaces, the Daryl Roth Theater and the DR2.
Along with “Love, Loss,” currently playing a successful run at the Westside Theater, Roth’s Off Broadway output has included “Three Tall Women,” “Die Mommie Die!” and the upcoming transfer of “The Temperamentals.”
Past winners of the Lortel’s lifetime laurel include Kevin Kline, Edward Albee, Harold Pinter and Paul Libin.
The 25th annual Lortel awards are set for May 2.
