Road grosses take a dip with ‘Heights’ resting

Trio of touring companies nearly make up difference

NEW YORK — Six of the 11 shows pulled in more than $1 million in Week 26 (Nov. 15-21). With “In the Heights” off the slate for a week, box office dipped by just over 2%, though strong showings by “The Lion King,” “West Side Story” and “South Pacific” nearly offset the revenue lost by other shows moving to smaller houses. “Jersey Boys” broke its own house record for the fourth time in Philadelphia, while the Toronto production of “Wicked” once again led all shows, with more than $1.9 million in sales. The cume for all the tours was $11,742,823.
