‘Our Town’ stays in town

Off B'way production extends until March 14

The much-praised Off Broadway revival of “Our Town” has extended its run, with the show now selling tickets through mid-March.

Helmer David Cromer’s staging of the familiar Thornton Wilder classic, which opened at Gotham’s Barrow Street Theater in February after a successful run in Chicago, earned critical raves but remained a dicey fiscal proposition thanks to the difficulty of sustaining a large-cast show with sales from a small venue such as the Barrow Street.

Still, B.O. has proven strong enough to allow the show to become the longest-running production of “Our Town” in history,

Scott Morfee and Jean Doumanian are among the producers of “Our Town,” now set to play through March 14.
