David C. Hodgson, an exec at private equity investment firm General Atlantic, has succeeded Peter J. Solomon as chairman of the board of directors at Gotham nonprofit Manhattan Theater Club.
Hodgson has been on the MTC board for some 15 years. He exits the leadership post of the theater’s executive committee, to be replaced by Kaufman Cultural Center chair Bethany Millard. W. Gregg Slager, a partner at Ernst and Young, is the new treasurer.
Solomon, the founder and chair of an eponymous company, has been board chairman at MTC for 12 years.
Board of directors at MTC, as at any not-for-profit org, reps a governing force at the theater alongside holders of top staff posts, including a.d. Lynne Meadow and exec producer Barry Grove.
Meanwhile, Lynne Randall, formerly of the New York Philharmonic, has signed on as the new director of development at MTC.
