Miss Rona returns to crime scene

Paley Center hosts 'Nothing But the Truth'

The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills hosted its first-ever one-person show on Thursday: “Rona Barrett: Nothing But the Truth.” Yes, that Rona Barrett — the one who fought the L.A. Times’ Joyce Haber for every last bit of Hollywood dirt in the 1960s and 1970s. Unfortunately, the Botox Brigade in attendance did not have to fear any major revelations from the once-powerful gossip. Despite its two-hour running time, “Nothing But the Truth” revealed way too much about Barrett’s physical makeover and hardly any dish.

Amid the diets and elocution lessons, only this tidbit titillated: During her “Today” show days, a pompous Tom Brokaw refused to introduce Barrett and left those duties to co-host Jane Pauley.

Miss Rona, your lavender farm up the coast awaits you.
