McClinton to direct ‘Heaven’

Legit reps author Mosley's debut play

Marion McClinton will direct the playwriting debut of author Walter Mosley, “The Fall of Heaven,” set to bow later this month at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

Mosley, a novelist whose works include “Devil in a Blue Dress” and the recent “The Long Fall,” based the play on his 2008 book “The Tempest Tales,” about a dead Harlem man who refuses to go to Hell and is sent back to Earth with an angel looking after him.

McClinton (“King Hedley II,” “Jitney”) helms a cast led by Leland Gantt. Show runs Jan. 23-Feb. 20.
