Actress to play company veep in Broadway play
Marin Mazzie has been tapped to join the cast of upcoming Broadway play “Enron,” portraying company VP Claudia Roe opposite Norbert Leo Butz as CEO Jeffrey Skilling.
Mazzie — whose prior stints on the Rialto have revolved around musical theater work including “Kiss Me, Kate,” “Ragtime” and “Passion” — rounds out the casting for the major players in scribe Lucy Prebble’s multimedia examination of the spectacular collapse in 2001 of energy giant Enron.
Mazzie will appear with a cast that also includes Stephen Kunken, Gregory Itzin and January Lavoy, among others. Rupert Goold (“Macbeth”) helms the production, beginning previews April 8 ahead of an April 27 opening.
