LCT3 goes distance for ‘4000 Miles’

Theater sets run for new play by Herzog

Lincoln Center Theater’s LCT3 has skedded a summer run for “4000 Miles,” a new play by Amy Herzog to be toplined by Mary Louise Wilson.

Herzog scored high critical marks earlier this season for her play “After the Revolution,” which recently finished a stint at Off Broadway’s Playwrights Horizons.

Daniel Aukin will helm the show, about a young man who loses his best friend and looks for comfort from his grandmother.

Gabriel Ebert (“Brief Encounter”) will play the young man.

LCT3 program focuses on presenting the work of emerging creatives as well as developing legit auds. A venue on the campus of Lincoln Center is being built for the initiative’s shows.

“4000 Miles” begins previews June 20 ahead of a July 6 opening at the Duke on 42nd Street.
