Lincoln Center Theater exec producer Bernard Gersten, Oregon Shakespeare Fest a.d. Bill Rauch and helmer Anne Kauffman are among the recipients of the 2010 awards from Theater Communications Group.
Legit nonprofit service and development org TCG hands out kudos every year, with winners drawn from a pool of nominees solicited from TCG’s member theaters.
Gersten was given the theater practitioner award, while Rauch got a visionary leadership kudo and Kauffman picked up the directing trophy.
Other recipients included Chicago funder the Joyce Foundation, which won an award for regional funding, and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, snagging the national funding award for its femme-centric playwriting kudo. Mixed Blood Theater a.d. Jack Reuler won for pioneering practices, with an award that is named after the late Peter Zeisler, former exec director of TCG.
Honors were handed out during TCG’s summer conference in Chicago.
