‘Dreamgirls’ rise high

Road grosses

Road grosses rose 0.8% in Week 14 (Aug. 23-29), with “Dreamgirls” returning from layoff and an average haul of more than $1 million for the 9-show slate. “Wicked” in Columbus was the only show to break a house record, with $1,499,102. The Minneapolis production of that show brought in the week’s highest gross — $1,670,865. Total gross for slate was $10,095,342.
