Duo to play holiday concert

Donny and Marie Osmond are set for a limited Main Stem run of holiday concert “Donny and Marie — A Broadway Christmas,” landing at the Marquis Theater for 12 perfs.

Both Osmonds have had prior stints on the Rialto, with Marie last on the Gotham boards in “The King and I” in 1997, while Donny appeared in “Beauty and the Beast” in 2006.

“Broadway Christmas” marks the third year in a row a holiday-themed outing has played the Marquis, vacated last month by Frank Sinatra dance-ical “Come Fly Away.” “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas” ran at the venue in 2008 and 2009.

Christmas-time Rialto offerings have become increasingly common in recent years, kicking off with Broadway engagements of “Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas” in 2006 and 2007. This year “Elf” plays the Hirschfeld.

Greg Young, Jon B. Platt and Magic Arts and Entertainment produce “Broadway Christmas” in association with Eric Gardner and Greg Sperry. Show runs Dec. 9-19.
