'Men Who Stare at Goats' producers eye romantic comedy
Winchester Capital Management (“Men Who Stare at Goats”) has greenlit “Taravella,” a romantic comedy with a supernatural twist, in association with Jacob Kotzky.
“Taravella” is produced by Victoria Wisdom, Bonnie Curtis (“Saving Private Ryan,” “Minority Report”) and John Miranda with Scott Ellis, who’s been nominated for five Tonys, on board to direct for an early fall start. Script, penned by Tom Sierchio (“Untamed Heart”), is a love story about a beautiful but eccentric young woman with amnesia who falls out of the sky one day into the life of a young man, who struggles to uncover the mystery behind her inexplicable appearance.
Wisdom, who brought the project in to Winchester, previously worked as a literary agent at both ICM and BWK representing directors such as Bryan Singer and Lone Scherfig. Miranda worked with director James Mangold (“Knight and Day”).
Ellis has exec produced and directed segments of “Weeds” His most recent Broadway credits include “The Little Dog Laughed,” “Curtains” and “Streamers.”
Winchester was most recently the financier of “Men Who Stare at Goats” and “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee.”
