J.K. Rowling’s wizarding community put its onscreen differences aside on Thursday, for Warner Bros.’ world preem of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” in London.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint graciously met their nemeses Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter and Timothy Spall on the red carpet, for undoubtedly the biggest wizarding event since the Quidditch World Cup.
Fiennes let slip his motivation for Lord Voldemort: “I’ve got to scare as many children as I can. I hope I scare them a lot.”
With the end of “Potter” in sight, Fiennes concluded with his personal take on Voldemort’s career plan, once he’d completed his attempt at world domination: “He’s working on his comedy standup — he’s going to do the circuit.” –
