Feature is the first from Meredith Viera's shingle
Linda Cardellini, Michael Shannon and Tim Blake Nelson are toplining indie drama “Return” with Meredith Vieira exec producing through her new feature film banner.
First-time feature director Liza Johnson is helming from her own script. Story focuses on a woman, played by Cardellini, who returns home from war to her husband (portrayed by Shannon) and kids in a small town and struggles to readjust. Nelson plays an older war vet who befriends her
“Return,” produced by Noah Harlan of 2.1 Films, will begin shooting in northern Ontario at the end of September. Amy Rapp of the recently launched Meredith Vieira Productions is also exec producing in the first feature project for Vieira and her shingle.
