Jason Clarke has joined the cast of murder mystery “The Fields,” starring Sam Worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Michael Mann is producing with Michael Jaffe and his daughter Ami Canaan Mann directing the co-production between Bill Block’s QED Intl. and Mann’s Forward Pass shingle. Production’s expected to start later this month in Louisiana.
Infinity Media’s on board to finance with topper Michael Ohoven and president Kevin Turen exec producing. Morgan will star as a detective transplanted from New York, while Worthington will portray a local investigator probing a series of unsolved murders in industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries. Screenplay’s by former DEA agent Donald F. Ferrarone.
Clarke is shooting the lead in the Fox drama pilot, “Ride Along,” created by Shawn Ryan. He’ll be seen in Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street” sequel as well as two indies: David Schwimmer’s “Trust” and “Yelling to the Sky” for director Victoria Mahoney.
Clarke was seen in Michael Mann’s “Public Enemies” and starred for three seasons on Showtime’s “Brotherhood” series.
