Tarantino ‘honored’ by Friars Club

Director takes hot seat on Oct. 1

Quentin Tarantino has been chosen to receive the brunt of politically incorrect jokes at the 2010 Friars Club roast.

The “Inglourious Basterds” helmer will take the hot seat on Oct. 1 at the New York Hilton.

“Having seen ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Kill Bill,’ I can only pray that he understands that we only roast the ones we love at the Friars,” said Friars Club Dean Freddie Roman.

Founded in 1904, the Friars Club’s past tributes include Milton Berle, William Shatner, Hugh Hefner and Frank Sinatra.In the past, the Friars Club Roast has aired on Comedy Central though no network has been set for this year’s event
