‘Step Up’ gets down

Premiere offers chance to show off moves

The dance battling couldn’t be contained on screen at Monday night’s preem for Touchstone’s “Step Up 3D.” Some thesps even brought their moves to the W Hotel rooftop after-party dance floor.

If given the chance, “I would dance fight Steve Jobs,” confessed director Jon Chu. “He’s so freaking brilliant he makes me sick.”

When asked who his ideal dance opponent would be, producer Adam Shankman picked Isadora Duncan, but added, “I could kick her ass.”

In addition to the “Step Up” cast, “Glee’s” Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz came to the party in support of fellow Gleek and film thesp Harry Shum Jr.
