Michael Douglas was anything but isolated at the May 11 premiere of his latest pic, Anchor Bay Entertainment’s “Solitary Man.”

After the Cinema 2 screening, gussied-up admirers at the Rouge Tomate after-party swarmed the star.

Douglas’ co-star Jenna Fischer, who was somewhat less hassled in the jam-packed restaurant, revealed that one line in the film really made her “cringe.”

As she told it, “When (Douglas’ character) says that no woman over 40 is really thin and that they have a certain thickness to them, I was like, Ugh! A man had to write that. For a 36-year-old woman, that was just so heart-breaking.”

Pic’s writer and co-director, Brian Koppelman, laughed when he heard Fisher’s reaction, leaving it to co-director David Levien to come to his defense: “It’s a very lacerating line from the screenwriter.” Levien then asked Koppelman, “Is that something you heard or experienced, Brian?”
