Stembler joined Georgia Theater Co. in 1973 as house counsel and VP. He was named prexy in 1983. After sale of the company to United Artists in 1986, Stembler became veep of UA until 1988. He worked for other exhibs until 1991, when Georgia Theater Co. was reincarnated.
Today, Georgia is one of the top 20 circuits in the U.S., operating 272 screens in 27 locations.
